The Exchange with our friends and partners in San Francisco and the Bay Area is more vibrant than ever and the value of friendship is especially evident in difficult times. Right now, we feel how important our personal relationships and shared values are, and how strong their desire is to intensify the exchange with us and with Germany.

It is precisely these transatlantic friendships that we want to celebrate with you and, together with the Amerika-Gesellschaft Schleswig-Holstein and the Transatlantic Student Initiative, are organizing the

"Kiel meets USA - a friendship picnic"

For: all those interested in America with family and friends

WhatOpen picnic with a colorful supporting program and pie competition: We want to celebrate together in a very relaxed way, with plenty of space for personal conversations and contacts with other people interested in America. Everyone brings whatever they like to eat and drink. We will also have a small selection of snacks and drinks on site, as well as a few places to sit. You can also look forward to a varied social program and some typical American activities, including a pie contest.

Become Pie-Queen or -king:  Take part in our pie competition. Bake or decorate a pie on the theme of transatlantic friendship and bring it by 5:30 pm. We will then choose the most creative idea! You can find a basic recipe here.
