The San Francisco Start-up Day as part of DiWo23 - 1TP5Innovation #Inspiration #Networking

We would like to thank all participants, speakers and experts as well as our co-organizers the City of Kiel, DiWoKiel and startupsh for the successful San Francisco Start-up Day during the Digital Week Kiel 2023!

Under the motto "Silicon Valley x Start-ups: Accelerate your Success", we experienced a day full of inspiring presentations, interactive workshops and valuable networking opportunities on May 10.

The day began with the "Meet the Experts: Networking Lunch", where founders had the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts on a one-to-one basis in a relaxed setting. From business models to start-up ideas and financing models, everything was discussed to help start-ups develop further.

This was followed by the press conference on the launch of the 2023 high-flyer competition, at which Economics Minister Claus Ruhe Madsen and former high-flyer winner Marc Hager from Naotilus shared their experiences and gave an exciting insight into the upcoming competition round.

The "Silicon Valley Start-up School" in the afternoon offered exciting presentations and interactive workshops on the topics of insider tips from the Valley, user experience for start-ups and the use of AI in the start-up sector. Experts such as Raitschin Raitschew from GLXY, Tim Ole Jöhnk, Director of the Northern Germany Innovation Office (NGIO), Laura Müller as well as Jonas Mielck and Mattias Nannt from StackOcean shared valuable knowledge and offered practical insights.

The day was rounded off with the "Future of Entrepreneurship" networking event in the evening. Florian Dahlhausen, Stanford MBA student and venture capital investor, gave us interesting insights behind the scenes of Silicon Valley live from San Francisco and presented current trends in entrepreneurship in the innovation region. In the subsequent discussion round, founders and experts exchanged views on the significance of these trends for us.

We are impressed and overwhelmed by the passion and commitment of all participants and are delighted that we were able to experience an inspiring day full of innovation, networking and knowledge transfer together.

The event took place at the InnoPier in the heart of Kiel, where we not only benefited from top-class speakers and experts, but also from a breathtaking view of Kiel.
