Media, power & manipulation

13 May @ 19:00 - 21:00 UTC+0

How tech platforms are shaping our debates, disinformation is becoming an innovation problem and media skills are becoming future skills.

Digital technologies are rapidly changing our society - and presenting us with new challenges: Deep fakes, disinformation, polarization. As an internationally experienced journalist, Richard Gutjahr sheds light on how tech platforms are influencing our public debate and why we urgently need to take responsibility - for dealing with AI, digital media and a desirable future.

His appeal: We need to become more digital in order to shape innovations - and at the same time more analog in order to strengthen personal networks and social cohesion.

What can we learn from the Silicon Valley mindset - and what can we put into practice here?

"Democratic society benefits from his analyses, impulses and the projects he initiates."
