A swim with our friends from the SERC is part of every visit to San Francisco.
We had arranged to meet Alex Marduel at 7 a.m. and were delighted to see him again. Sport brings people together and as a guest you quickly get involved in conversations about swimming and life. There was no need to pinch ourselves, as the water was a comfortable 15 degrees. Even though we preferred swimming near the beach to open water in the bay, it was definitely a nice and refreshing experience with a view to the hot day ahead.
We are delighted that the connection to the SERC has existed for so long and is lived in so many ways. Shared experiences and passions such as open water swimming connect people across continents and are often the basis for transatlantic friendships and joint projects in completely different areas. To this end, we would like to continue with further connections in rowing, sailing and dragon boat races.
