The high-flyer competition, which took place for the third time this year, is organized by the three Unite The Bay Areas, Marketing Club Schleswig-Holstein and StartUp SH together with the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Employment, Technology and Tourism. This gives start-ups with good ideas from Schleswig-Holstein the chance to present their business idea to a wide audience, experience the spirit of Silicon Valley at first hand and make new contacts on both sides of the Atlantic.
This year there was a big surprise at the final on September 2: The ideas and pitches were so good that the jury headed by Minister of Economic Affairs Bernd Buchholz even sent four startups to San Francisco and Silicon Valley instead of three! Going on a journey Univelop, Dayoff, IdeaChamp and Orthodrone.
Plantobelly and Carbonfreed meet digitally with investor Mani Honigstein from Honeystone Ventures and receive direct feedback from the perspective of the American market after a pitch.
In addition, both the Marketing Club Schleswig-Holstein and The Bay Areas presented the six finalists with a free one-year membership.
