San Francisco Vibes at the Digital Week Kiel

Keynote speaker Mario Herger brought some exciting news from Silicon Valley to the official opening of Digital Week Kiel. He has been at home in the Valley and working in the tech sector for more than 20 years. Around 140 events on the topic of artificial intelligence currently take place there every month. In his keynote speech, he gave a brief overview of the development of artificial intelligence, its impact on various areas such as construction, design and architecture or mobility and ventured a look into the future, which will be outdated all too quickly in view of the rapid development.

This fast pace of life and the associated rapid changes in all areas of life was a topic of the subsequent panel with Mario Herger, Ulf Kämpfer, Doris Weßels, Prof. Christian Berg and moderator Carmen Hentschel. In which areas does AI provide support? What opportunities are there and what does it do to people when AI applications perform many tasks faster, often more accurately and also penetrate creative areas such as art and creativity? Where do we need to critically monitor, regulate or even restrict its use?

A stimulating discussion with many questions from the audience, which provided enough material for the rest of the evening at our Special BAM at InnoPier. TBA board member Axel Schulz and Kathrin Reinicke, head of Digital Week Kiel, hosted the event.
