New organizer trio for the Digital Challenge

The Digital Challenge is entering its 9th round with a breath of fresh air.

The innovation competition is being held for the first time under the patronage of Digitalization Minister Dirk Schrödter and jointly organized by The Bay Areas e.V., KI.SH and DiWiSH - Digital Economy Schleswig-Holstein.

In this way, we are pooling expertise and networks for innovation, digitalization and AI in SMEs and developing the format further. Together with KI.SH and DiWiSH, companies can put the resulting ideas for digital transformation and AI innovations directly into practice. The participating universities contribute the current state of science and teaching. Together, we are creating a platform that encourages change, networks knowledge and enables innovation for the North.

Digital challenge = university x SME

In just one week, student teams from five universities (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, West Coast University of Applied Sciences, Schleswig-Holstein Cooperative State University, Kiel University of Applied Sciences) develop innovative digital business models for companies from Schleswig-Holstein - in a practical, interdisciplinary manner and at eye level. Companies benefit from creative and previously unused ideas, new impetus for digital transformation and contact with young talent. Students gain practical experience, work with exciting companies in the region and make personal contacts for their careers.
