"The North has the potential to provide real impetus for the economy and society with innovative ideas."
Julia Carstens, State Secretary at the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Economic Affairs

It was precisely this innovative strength of Schleswig-Holstein that the three winning teams demonstrated with their pitches in the final of the high-flyer start-up competition:
- conformallya spin-off from Kiel University, develops environmentally friendly and PFAS-free coatings for microelectronics.
- EchoScout GmbH from Lübeck brings top-class sport and medical technology together - with ultrasound in real time, directly applicable.
- The Lübeck CCS42 GmbH produces energy and raw materials from CO₂ - an approach for real decarbonization.
In spring 2026, she will be traveling from Schleswig-Holstein to San Francisco, right in the middle of one of the most exciting innovation ecosystems in the world.
To ensure that the trip is both exciting and successful, the teams will receive pitch training with Raitschin Raitschew and the Silicon Valley Readiness Seminar with Tim Joehnk and TBA CEO Axel Schulz beforehand
But also for the other finalists femCycle, vJourney and Splitbot the journey continues - here in Schleswig-Holstein.
We are delighted to welcome all six teams to our network, as each team will receive an annual membership of The Bay Areas e.V. and the Marketing Club Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, the modern workplace factory is opening its doors as a co-working spot.
The special thing about this competition is that medium-sized companies support young entrepreneurs, give them an inspiring journey and at the same time open up their networks directly on site.
A special thank you goes to our co-organizers StartUp SH, the Marketing Club Schleswig-Holstein and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, as well as all partners, sponsors and supporters who make the high-flyer competition possible in the first place.
