For ten days, almost 50 students worked intensively on business models and visions. True to the motto of the Digital Challenge 2023: Innovate my business. The result: great ideas relating to apps, artificial intelligence and augmented reality, which Team SE, Holstein Kiel, Idalabs, Heidelberg and Bürgerwindpark Janneby can use to launch further into the future. At the final, the board of experts from universities, companies and business developers assessed the degree of innovation of the ideas as well as their feasibility and sustainability.
We congratulate all the teams on their great results and creative presentations. This year's state winner was the DHSH team with their augmented reality concept for IDALABS. The digital solution is intended to enable the automated recording of window dimensions in existing buildings and thus make the preparation of renovations significantly faster and more efficient. For Holstein Kiel, the teams designed apps and campaigns for member retention and recruitment, while for Bürgerwindpark Janneby, the focus was on developing the wind farm into an energy park. For Team SE, the focus was on the digital networking of clients, construction managers and trades, while Heidelberger Druckmaschinen could use AI to eliminate operating errors directly in the customer's production process and make its own customer service more efficient.
For us, it's always great to see the solutions that emerge from the Digital Challenge and how we can use this format to connect science and business simply and effectively. Both the students and the companies take a lot away with them. Together with the Mittelstand Digitalzentrum Schleswig-Holstein, we have already held this event format for the 8th time and this year we worked together with the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, the Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein, the Hochschule Flensburg as well as the Fachhochschule Westküste and the Fachhochschule Kiel.
The IHK Schleswig-Holstein also reports on the Digital Challenge and has been promoting the format for several years: Click here for the article!
